Acrocyanosis - Treatment of Acrocyanosis

What is Acrocyanosis?

Acrocyanosis means we got our hands & feet tunns in to blue color because of the lack of oxygen. Mostly we find this in the hands in the face as well on feet.It also affected to nose, ears, lips, and nipples.This is the more serious as well as larger medical like problem like as connective tissue and diseases related with central cyanosis.This disease basically finds in women.

Causes of Acrocyanosis

  • it causes constriction or spasms in our blood vessels they supplied blood to the extremities.
  • if blood supply for the hands and feet is decreased for a long time then spasms occur on a persistent basis.
  • generally it caused when blood vessels are near the surface of the skin.
  • in this sometimes we fact for swelling & sweating for affected area.
  • towards the end of the arms and legs by constriction of small tiny arteries.

Symptoms of Acrocyanosis

  • we find some patches on our fingers and toes & become pale or bluish.
  • in this case the fingers or toes skin willbe looking smooth, shiny, and tight.
  • sometimes we feel small painful sores may getting on the toes & tips of the fingers.

Treatment of Acrocyanosis

  • in this case firstly doctor may suggest to do blood tests to checking the conditions that weather this can Raynaud's phenomenon disease or not.
  • this treatment is based on medical history and physical examination.
  • it is nesscery to sure that at present patient doesn't have any serious illness.
  • giving the dose of calcium and alpha-one antagonists we are able to decrease in the most cases.
  • in the case of raynaud's phenomenon doctor suggest to protect from cold to our head, hands & legs.
  • in very rare cases we able to do surgery to cut the sympathetic nerves.
  • the person who have this disease he must stop smoking .
