Causes of Arteriovenous Malformations

• Sudden bleeding due to the fragility of abnormally-structured blood vessels in the brain.
• Permanent and continuous loss of nerve cells.
• No genetic, demographic, or environmental risk factors for cerebral AVM have been identified clearly.
• Abnormal development of blood vessels in utero.
• A rupture of a blood vessel during fetal development.

Symptoms of Arteriovenous Malformations
